Just what I was looking for this product is so good that I order it againI needed extra plastic spikes for edging I was installing under my deck. They were easy to hammer into the ground. They even stood up to being removed and re-installed with no breakage at all.I needed additional spikes b/c I ran out of the spikes that were included in an edging kit. These were far inferior to the ones that I used originally. They bend easily and did not secure my edging. Returned and replaced with a different brand. Dimex is a much better brand.I actually used these to help keep down some wood planking I have down as a walkway in my front yard. I screwed holes into the wood and then inserted them to help keep the wood from curling (which it seems to be prone to do in the heat). These stakes are nice and long which helps them stay down securely in the ground. The pack of fifty means that they can go a long way. You should have plenty of stakes for most lawn projects. They are sturdy and the black color is unobtrusive. These stakes did what I wanted them to do and I am happy with them.I was looking for something to anchor plastic out back in my yard to lay out a walking path and kill weeds when I found these 8" stakes, it seemed like the perfect item to use. Most of what I had been looking at was too short or too expensive for what I was going to use it for. These are a good length and there are 50 in the package! At the current price of $21.99, that's a good deal.The stakes are sturdy plastic that is slightly flexible, spiraled like a screw. They go in the ground pretty easily with a hammer or mallet. We have mostly sandy soil, not sure it would work as well on heavier or denser soil.This is a great bargain for a quality price. I’m redoing all of our garden borders for our home using the no dig garden barrier. If you have never used no dig barrier I highly recommend this. I live in Texas where are ground is a mixture of clay, rocks, and frustration. So being able to create new beds without having to dig is ideal. I love the no dig product, but they don’t give you enough stakes to even do a quarter of the border if you’re using rock border. Forperspective they only give you 24 stakes for 60’ of border. You need double that amount. I purchased 180’ of border for just our front yard so I was spending a fortune buying additional the stakes. In addition to buying the no dig sets, I had spent an additional $40 for just 50 additional garden stakes at my hardware store. This set is half the price, for the same number of stakes. Just as good quality, and compatible with the vigoro no dig barrier. Do yourself a favor, save yourself a lot of money, and just buy these. I will be ordering additional sets for the remainder of our garden project as we still have our backyard to do.
