I was looking for a brown border to compliment flowers that I had placed on the side of my house. I had some brown roll border and attempted to use it and What a nightmare! The rolled border was sift, it was hard to unroll even after placing weight on it. I then attempted to water the area to soften the soil and used a mallet to pound in place and it still was difficult getting it in the ground. I quit, rolled it back up and placed in trash. I then went on line and saw the Garden Border Edging and thought I would give them try. BEST PURCHASE EVER in garden and lawn. I was done in no time and had 4 to spare and used those in a smaller area on the other side of my house. Once the mulch was placed down and the landscape lighting the area looked beautiful. I am so impressed, we do have harsh winters so I am hoping that they won't crack in the heavy snow, but for now I am a very satisfied buyer.Since I installed them above the stairs (the first picture), It helps to block the dropping dead leave and woodchips to my back entrance.I also used the edges to create pattern for my backdoor walkway (the second picture) and received a lot of compliment.I love it! It was the perfect amount for my flowerbed.HAVE NOT HAD THEM IN THE GROUND THAT LONG, BUT THEY ARE HOLDING UP TO THE WEATHER AND ARE WORKING TO KEEP THE GRAVEL AROUND THE HOUSE IN PLACE.Easy to install and has a great look to it.If you are looking for an affordable option for a short term project I recommend this item!For me I am looking for something more sturdy and a little bit thicker.A good product but would be better if pieces were interlocking also the spikes that go into ground are bit flimsy.I am so disappointed with these. They are extremely difficult (impossible!) to get straight and right next to each other without an awkward overlap or gap. And, forget about installing them in any kind of curve even though they are supposedly flexible (they do bend a little but the way the stakes go in the ground doesn’t really lend themselves to curving well). They end up looking extremely cheap and tacky. We will be replacing these, and I can’t return them because most of them are bent from trying to get them to go in the ground. I ordered 2 boxes because other reviews said they were good. Total waste of money!As far as installing them, I had an extremely difficult time with them but we have really hard soil. If you live somewhere with softer soil this may not be as much of a problem. But, unless your surface is perfectly level they don’t look straight/level and they look pretty cheap since they aren’t at the same level/straight. I am 6 months pregnant and was on the ground beating them in with a rubber hammer and several of them wouldn’t go in at all (the stakes kept bending).These were the only ones that were green and scalloped. They keep the grass out and look beautiful!
